Not all case's are like this, some job's hire you due to the skill's you acquire. Also don't worry about what your co-worker's say, you got the job the proper way and that should be your main attention. Also your co-worker's wont be in your business they will mind their work and not with your's.
You make a valid point that one should be hired for a job based on one's knowledge and experience, not one's sex. But I wish you developed and explained your further points, such as "Also your co-worker's wont be in your business they will mind their work and not with your's"? Who is the you? You mean the man who is the one, Deutsch identifies as the privileged individual, right?
